About Me

I'M JOHN SCHMIDT

Since I was a child, I have both marveled and fantasied about the universe and all that is in it! From the stars above our heads to the earth below our feet, the world we live in is filled with fascinating spaces and interesting elements.

Capturing these spaces and elements is my mission. Over time, I began to refine and hone my skills to capture images of a variety of landscape scenes that I hope you find intriguing and captivating - this is my passion!

I studied photographic science while attending the State University of New York in Farmingdale located on Long Island – I was at the time an upstater! Upon graduation I ended up in Rochester New York working for the Eastman Kodak Company for 20 years. I am so grateful for this experience.

I approach each new and varied scene with attention to detail and raw emotion. I put my heart and soul into my work and believe it shows in my photographs. So please, I invite you to take a tour around my site and study the details conveyed in my collection images of our world.
